Written by: Agustin Lopez Back in 2016, EPR uploaded an exceptional student film named Randolph. Written and directed by Moses Molina (Class of 2016), this film crushed its competition in the Frontera Film Festival, winning two categories: Best Actor and Best 8-12 Minute Film. “Randolph” , as you may assume, follows a character named Randolph, played by Ramses Betancourt, the emotionally detached valedictorian, who comes to find out that his intellectual achievements and habits have left him socially isolated from the rest of his peers. This film is about his tiny journey, as he looks for a classmate to share a piece of his senior year with. The director of this film, Moses Molina, is currently studying in University of North Texas. This will be his second year attending UNT; he is currently studying Computer Science. From all of us here at Eagle Public Radio, we’d like to wish Moses, and all of our alumni, the best of luck, keep us up to date with your achievements and successes, and we hope you continue to inspire and be role models for future media tech students. During his freshman year at UNT, Moses posted video blogs showing portions of his college life. This is one of the first posts he made while at UNT; it’s a first taste of college life for students to know that that is like check out the video.

Written by: Agustin Lopez Welcome to EP Syndication, the segment where Eagle Public Radio shares some our favorite posts from our site. Alongside that, EPR will share content from other outlets that we find engaging, entertaining, and worth sharing with you guys. From all of us here at Eagle Public Radio, we hope you enjoy. To kick this off, we’d like to highlight the achievements of Chance the Rapper, but it’s not about his music; it’s actually about his contribution in helping Chicago public schools. He’s been raising money with his SocialWorks organization, and last Friday, Sept. 1st, Chance announced that his group had raised $2.2 million dollars for the art’s program of these Chicago schools. In addition to the money raised, Chance has created a way to reward the most determined and didactic of teachers in the Chicago area, by creating an annual award show, “The Twilight Awards”.
The video below is Chance’s announcement from Friday Sept. 1. It’s a speech that will excite you, warm your heart, and will bring new profound respect for this Chicago patron of the arts.
