Edited by: blogger1 11-05-16; It’s horrifying to think in only a few days, we will have our new President. Our two options are Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton. But, it couldn’t be that terrible, right? I mean, it’s not like Trump is actually going to take over our country. That’s insane. 11-08-16; well…it happened. Our 45th President of the good ol’ U.S.A. is none other than Donald Trump. I expected myself to be shocked once I got the news. Yet, I’m not. The reason why is because of what generally Millennials think of this whole Election fiasco. Through the majority of the Millennials’ eyes, we take politics as a gigantic meme, constantly joking around the ideals of our former candidates. For example, we just absolutely love poking fun at Clinton’s emails, Ted Cruz’s Zodiac Killer conspiracy, anything Donald Trump says or does, and etc. Yes, I admit to sharing amusing content of candidates being ridiculous. However, I know that my generation and I still stand by our liberal views. We are desperate to grow up and be ‘maturing adults’, so we do that by wanting to get involved. On the other hand, no matter how much knowledge we gain about politics, we will never experience it as much as Generation X. They have seen other presidents run our country and obviously have different views on the problems America is going through today (Which explains how according to polls, Generation X are Trump supporters.) Well, it shouldn’t matter now, the 2016 Election is officially over. All we can do now is wait and see what will happened next in our world now that it’s in the hands of Mr. Trump. Remember Mr. Trump, you will now serve the people of this country. I hope that you are successful and that you to commit to “Making America Great Again.” When and if you do, please do for ALL of us and not just a select few. Edited by: blogger1 Oscar Wilde once said “The old believe everything, the middle-aged suspect everything, the young know everything.” I consider this quote slightly odd, especially the part “…the young know everything.” The youth in our generation, born from the years 1982 to 2004, can be considered “Millennials.” We are seen as the ‘supreme foundation to the growing lifestyle on Earth.’ In certain aspects, Millennials are clueless in their own confusion. The reason why is possibly because we don’t know the truth in our adolescent reality. But then again, older people are also stuck in their own state of mind that they can’t really understand perceived reality or actual reality. That’s the reason why I’m here. I’m creating this blog series to connect the demolished bridge between two categories: Millennials’ opinions with Generation X’s, and the Truth vs. Reality based on both opinions I hope as this blog progresses, I open the eyes of the people who think knowledge depends on age.
